Greg responds…
I don’t think Impulse showed Wally up at all. It was Wally and Jay who saved Barry and Bart’s lives. Or did you miss that? The fact that we got a little humor out of Wally’s frustration and Bart’s arrogance doesn’t rise to the level you’re indicating, at least not in my opinion….
Riddleland: I finally figured out why I don’t like So many fandoms
Me asking if that was a…
There nothing wrong with wishing it was, as someone who’s working on his own take on season 3 and beyond I understand that, but I don’t think any of my stuff will ever be canon. But why bother using the question format, as if you want people to answer it, when a simple post would’ve sufficed?
As for The Next Great Adventure, only one thing stops me from truly enjoying it on the level of “it’s so good I wish it were canon.” It’s this, I don’t buy that Artemis would think her friends would find her crazy for saying that Dr. Fate confirmed that he’s alive on another plane. I found that to be out of character for Artemis here. What reason would they have for NOT believing him?
Otherwise it’s not a bad fic at all.
I hate fandoms that have that one pairing the dominates things.
It’s the reason I won’t watch Sherlock, it’s the reason I stay out of the Supernatural fandom and it’s one of the reason I ended up hating the young Justice fandom.
See, I’ve never understood people…
It’s because the pairing it ‘popular’ it’s because I don’t like fandoms with a mass majority of on ship because people who don’t ship it off get the short end of stick in those type of fandoms.
People who don’t like the pairing are cut out or even demonized by the rest of the fandom and I’ve seen this happen many times including to myself.
All of those shippers demonize you? I’m pretty sure things not so monolithic that ALL of them reject you.
Also getting the short end of the stick? It’s just a fandom, your not winning a new car by the end of the day here. If people are so shallow that their “ship” stops them from carring about you or your input, are they REALLY worth your time.
I never said all it’s just something I’ve seen occur and had happen to me on more than once.
Short end of the stick was more referring to feeling isolated within the fandom itself which kinda defeats the point of having a group of people with shared interest.
You make things sound black and white, as if people who like something you like are automatically going to like everything you like. It doesn’t work like that. In shows like this, there are ALWAYS going to be a subset of people with different likes and dislikes about a show. You just have to find out which ones are worth it, and worth your time. It’s not always easy, but is life in general either?
I don’t think everyone should like what I like I think people in fandoms should stop treating people poorly because they don’t like a ship. That was the point of this post in the first place.
I think they should to, BUT if you think that there’s never going to be people like that EVER in ANY FANDOM; then you’re just gonna be miserable waiting for something that’s never going to come.
Just ignore the people who act like that, and focus on the people in that fandom who at the very least accept your views even IF they disagree with them.
Me asking if that was a rhetorical question was no more necessary than you asking if THAT fanfic story was canon.

See, I’ve never understood people who say they hate something because of it’s popularity. Why let other people’s opinions drive yours? I mean, I hate Justin Bieber immensely, not because of his fans, but because I think he’s a hack singer who’s more of a pre packaged product designed to be popular to the lowest form of society. Same thing with Twilight, I don’t hate it because of it’s following, I hate it because it’s stories and characters are shallow. I came to those conclusions ON MY OWN. Not because of anyone’s opinions.
That awsome moment when the most hated character in the fandom, La’gaan, got more character developement in one season than Wally got in two.
And this is why La’gann to this day will always be my favorite character.
In WHAT ways did Lagoon Boy get more development than Wally did in two seasons? Cause this comment is so dumb and inaccurate, that I want to make my head explode from it’s stupidity.
